Mandya drowning incident: CM instructs officials to provide compensation of Rs. 22 lakh to 7 families

Bengaluru: Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa has instructed the officials concerned to provide a total compensation of Rs. 22 lakh to the families of seven persons, who were drowned in separate incidents in Mandya district on Sunday.

The CM has instructed the authorities concerned to pay Rs. 5 lakh each to the family of deceased Geetha, Savitha and Sowmya of Beeranahalli in Nagamangala taluk and Rs. 2 lakh each to the families of deceased Rashmi and Inchara of Cholasandra village in Nagamangala taluk and to the families of deceased Abhishek of Huli Ganganahalli and Kumar of Adihalli.
