The logo of the 10K Mandya Marathon ‘Run for Kannada’ to be held on Dec. 10 was released by Mandya MP C.S. Puttaraju, here yesterday. The logo was released at MP’s home office.

The 10K Run for men, 5K Run for women and Senior Citizen’s run will be flagged off from Dr. Sri Shivakumar Swamiji Park at 6 am. The runners coming fist will be awarded Rs. 6,000 in the both men and women’s category, Rs. 5,000 for runners and Rs. 4,000 for third place. For senior citizens, the orgnaisers have announced Rs. 4,000 for the winners, Rs. 3,000 for runners and Rs. 2,000 for third place winners.

The 10K Run begins from the park will pass through Hosa Budanur Gate and end at the Park. For Women and Senior Citizens, the run which begins the park will reach Ummadahalli Gate and culminate back in the park.

The marathon has been organised to create awareness on Kannada language, farmer issues, National River linking project, swachh bharat, health, corruption and atrocities among others.
