Mysuru: It’s that time of the year when the intoxicating aroma of mango wafts through every street and household of namma city. Yes, the king of fruits, or ‘the Fruit of Gods’ as legends would have it, is taking the city by storm. The sheer multitude of hues, shapes and flavours one would come across is enough to enamour a craving heart and, the uninitiated would jump right in to take a juicy slice – without an afterthought.
For the adventurous and fun inclined, that just wouldn’t cut it, like the culinary team at Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Mysuru. They are showcasing an exciting assortment of mango dishes that need to be savoured to be believed.
A study in pastry innovation and taste crafting, the menu boasts of a delicious range, spanning Cakes, Treats, Cool Scoops and Beverages.
From the humble and ubiquitous Mango Lassi to the more pompous Mango Gulab Jamun Tiramisu, the very mention of items could make one drool in anticipation. Mango Rabdi, Mango Caramel Sponge Cake, Mousse Pastry, Tart… one’s taste buds could get happily lost in the menu. The hotel also offers takeaways — Mango Chocolates and Jelly boxes — to carry home the excitement.
“We really wanted to honour the king of fruits and introduce Mysuru to its intriguing variations. The event will last till the end of mango season,” says Saurav Choudhuri, the Executive Chef at the Hotel.
