Manipal Sakhi-Season 4 by Manipal Hospital held in city

Mysore/Mysuru: Honouring the remarkable stories of women whose courage, perseverance and compassion shaped the world around them with some breaking barriers and setting a new benchmarks, city’s Manipal Hospital hosted Manipal Sakhi-Season 4, an initiative that celebrates women, whose lives reflect resilience, service and an enduring commitment to making a difference at a private hotel in city recently.

Cluster Director at Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore Pramod Kunder and Manipal Hospital Director B.J. Sandeep Patel presided.

As part of the celebration, 30 women achievers from diverse walks of life were honoured for their achievements. The awardees represented various fields including education, healthcare, sports, entrepreneurship, social service, arts and community leadership.

Associate Vice-President – HRD at Infosys Preet Kushalappa Kodira, who was the chief guest, delivered the keynote address. She said “Women’s strength and resilience are powerful forces that shape families, communities and society at large. To reach gender parity, we need focused intervention. By hosting such events, Manipal Hospital is taking a bold step towards an intentional and equitable society. It is inspiring to see the entire community-men and women alike-working together. Recognising these journeys not only honours their courage but also inspires more women to pursue their aspirations with confidence.”

Speaking on the occasion, Pramod Kunder said, “Every woman we honour today represents resilience, determination, and a commitment to creating positive change. Their journeys remind us that true progress in society is built on courage and compassion. At Manipal Hospital, women’s health remains a key priority and we are committed to support women through every stage of life with comprehensive and compassionate care. Through initiatives like Manipal Sakhi, we not only celebrate inspiring women but also reaffirm our commitment to promoting awareness, preventive care, and holistic well-being for women in our communities.”

B.J. Sandeep Patel, who also spoke, emphasised the significance of recognising such journeys and said, “Behind every achievement lies a story of persistence, sacrifice and belief. Manipal Sakhi allows                                          us to acknowledge these journeys and celebrate women whose contributions continue to uplift communities and inspire future generations.”
