Mysuru lad G. Manish, a product of Mysore Tennis Club and a II PUC student of Sapient PU College, Mysuru, taking part in the State PU Boys Tennis Tournament held in Bengaluru, won the Singles title.

With this win, Manish has earned selection to represent Karnataka in the SGFI PU Nationals.

Enters main draw

Meanwhile, Manish, representing Karnataka in the 50k AITA Men’s Tennis Tournament in Bengaluru, yesterday won his final qualifying round and entered the main draw in the Men’s Singles event.

In the final qualifying round, Manish beat Sai Pranav Ponnaka 6-1, 6-3 to enter the main draw. In the second round, Manish beat Thatagat 9-1 and in the first round beat Nikhil 9-1.
