Man’s charred body found in N’gud taluk: Parents allege murder

Mysuru: A man who had come to his parents-in-law’s house to take back his wife was found dead with burns in a field near Makanapura village  in Nanjangud taluk.

The deceased Nagaraj Shetty (36) hailed from Kothanur village in Gundlupet and had married Mani from Makanapura in Nanjangud taluk six years ago in his second marriage.

After a tiff with her husband, Mani was said to have come to her parents house. Nagaraj Shetty, who had gone to his parents-in-law’s house on Sunday to bring back Mani, picked up a quarrel and returned  the same day.

However, a charred body of a man was found lying in the field of a farmer in nearby Kasuvinahalli by the Police which has been identified as that of Nagaraj Shetty by his parents yesterday.

They have lodged a complaint with Nanjangud Rural Police alleging that their son has been murdered.

Police have begun interrogating the wife of the deceased and her parents.
