Manuvana Park is pitch dark

October 23, 2026

Sir,

Manuvana Park on Vani Vilas Road, adjacent to Vishnuvardhana Road in Chamarajapuram, has been without proper lighting for more than 15 days, causing inconvenience to pedestrians and evening walkers.

With daylight fading early these days, the darkness in the park has made it difficult for people to walk around in the evening. It has also raised concerns about the safety of visitors, particularly senior women, who could be vulnerable to pickpockets and chain-snatchers.

Mysuru City Corporation should look into the matter and repair the existing lights or install new ones at the earliest to ensure public safety and prevent any untoward incident.
