Mayor, MCC team inspect Kabini water supply unit in Bidaragodu

Mysuru: A team from the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), led by Mayor M.J. Ravikumar and MCC Commissioner G. Jagadeesha, visited the Kabini water supply unit at Bidaragodu, located on the banks of Kapila River yesterday and inspected the jackwells.

Speaking after inspecting the unit, the Mayor said that they have requested the MUDA authorities to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for setting up additional machines at the unit and added that the authorities have agreed to prepare the plan within 15 days.

After getting approval from the Government, tenders would be called for installation of additional machines, he said and added that the three machines and the additional machines in the second phase would increase the pumping to 120 MLD from the existing 60 MLD which would solve the drinking water crisis in areas coming under the MCC.  

The Mayor and the MCC Commissioner were accompanied by MCC Town Planning Standing Committee Chairman Nandish Preetham and Corporators Shivakumar, Sameena, Tasleem, Anusuya and Kempanna and VVWW Executive Engineer Kariyappa.
