Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of MBA, Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Centre for Post-Graduate Studies, Sathgalli Layout, Ring Road Mysuru, had recently organised a guest lecture on “Expectations of Corporate Companies” for the new batch of MBA students.

M.T. Arasu, Founder and Managing Director, Career Prime Campus-Recruitment Solution, Mysuru, spoke about how to build a great personality which is the need of the hour. He urged students to constantly upgrade their knowledge, skills, attitude and language. There was a lot of emphasis on interpersonal skills which is very essential for building a robust network with key stakeholders.

The guest speaker asked MBA students to upgrade their analytical mindset which makes them to look at the issues at hand and come out with the best decisions. An emotionally weak person is incapable of making tough decisions. Thus, organisations are always in search for people with an analytical mindset so that they understand the practicality of a situation and take a sound step with vigilance.

He explained about time management skills which is required to have a synergy between many activities. Of course, there will be times when you will be occupied with top priority work;  it is then your time-management skills will be put to test. Some employees often get baffled seeing hefty work, which incapacitates the effectiveness at large and may even result in harming the company’s reputation. So, to prevent this, recruiters always ensure their employees possess time-management skills.

Regional Director Dr. K. Manjunath, Dr. T.P. Renuka Murthy, Professor and Programme Coordinator, MBA and other Faculty members were present.
