MCC asks defaulters to pay water dues

Mysuru:  The MCC, which is yet to collect Rs. 148.27 crore as water dues from consumers having metered connections as on Dec. 2017, has asked the residents to pay water tax.

The MCC’s proposal to waive off interest on water dues has been rejected by the Government. With the Government’s rejection of interest waiver, the MCC has asked the residents to pay up water dues along with interest.

The water connection of defaulting consumers will be disconnected if dues are not cleared by them.
