The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) collected a total of Rs. 20,80,596 during the day-long Trade Licence Renewal Mela organised by Hotel Owners Association jointly with the MCC. A total of 363 licences were renewed at the Assn. premises in Krishnamurthypuram yesterday.
A total of 36 trade licences were renewed in Zone-1 and Rs. 2,03,642 was collected. In Zone-2 – 9 trade licences (Rs. 36,280); Zone-3 – 46 trade licences (Rs. 1,60,000); Zone-4 – 18 trade licences (Rs. 91,590); Zone-5 – 11 trade licences (Rs. 70,770); Zone-6 – 204 licences (Rs. 12,85,118); Zone-7 – 21 trade licences (Rs. 1,30,236). Zone-8 recorded renewal of a single trade licence from which Rs. 4,680 was collected and Rs. 98,280 was collected from Zone-9 with renewal of 17 trade licences.
The total collection from Zones 1,2,3,4,5,7,8 and 9 is Rs. 7,95,478. The highest collection was recorded in Zone-6 which collected Rs. 12,85,118 with renewal of 204 trade licence.
Speaking to SOM, Hotel Owners Association President C. Narayanagowda said that the officials from Zones 2,4,5,7,8 and 9 did not turn up after the lunch hour and added that the collection could have been more if the officials were present.
