Mysuru: The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) and N.R. Traffic Police conducted a joint operation to clear the footpath encroachments on Nelson Mandela Road in Bannimantap here today.

The drive was conducted following several complaints to MCC on public facing problems while commuting on the road.

MCC Zone 7 Assistant Commissioner Mohan and N.R. Traffic Inspector Jayakumar, who conducted the drive, cleared about 25 petty shops and pushcarts.  

N.R and Mandi Police had provided security.
