Mysore/Mysuru: The MCC’s continued Council meeting on Thursday approved online issuance of trade licence
The council decided to develop the necessary software for issuance and renewal of trade licence on the lines of online payment of property tax.
In another significant decision, the Council resolved to come up with a Geographic Information System (GIS) that aims to avoid duplication of works and also to develop ‘Record Indexing and Digitisation’ software aimed at safeguarding all documents and records.
Naming circles and roads
The Council also discussed the issue of naming of roads, parks and circles. The Council approved naming of the road leading from Subhash Chandra Bose circle near RMC to Farooquia Dental College (passing through Shaneshwaraswamy temple main gate) after M.K. Lingaiah road, the stretch of road leading from Gandhi Square to K.R. Hospital road (passing through Uma Talkies) as ‘Sri Prasanna Ramamandira Road’, the park at Kuvempunagar M-Block as ‘Bharat Mata Park’, the playground behind Banashankari temple in Kuvempunagar as ‘Vivekananda Playground’ and the park in front of Kukkarahalli school after late Prof. K. Srinivasan.
It was also decided to name a road or circle after retired IPS Officer late Bipin Gopalkrishna, who had served as the City Police Commissioner over 17 years ago.
