MCC felicitates Pourakarmikas

Mysuru: The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) felicitated 66 Pourakarmikas at a programme held at Kalamandira on Hunsur Road yesterday.

Speaking after inaugurating the programme, Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Wadiyar said that Pourakarmikas have played a very vital role in keeping our city clean and tidy. He called upon the Pourakarmikas to work better and strive for making Mysuru a plastic-free society.

As many as 66 Pourakarmikas, selected from each of the 66 MCC Wards, were felicitated on the occasion.

Also, prizes were distributed to winners of various contests and sports on the occasion.

MLA T.S. Srivatsa, MCC Commissioner Ashaad-Ur-Rahman-Shariff, Council Secretary Rangaswamy, MCC Chief Health Officer Dr. Venkatesh, Health Officer Dr. Harsha, Environmental Engineer Meenakshi and other officials were present during the felicitation programme.
