Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru City Corporation  (MCC) is organising a contest for innovation in maintenance of Under Ground Drainage (UGD) system of the city.

According to an official press release here, conditions should be low-cost solution, provide faster solution, improve efficiency in cleaning/maintenance of UGD system, prevent entry into manhole/septic tank and should have an advance warning system which could inform the likelihood of a blockage as to carry out preventive maintenance.

The prize money is Rs. 20,000 for 1st, Rs.10,000 for 2nd and Rs.5,000 for 3rd place.

Interested candidates or teams must submit the proposed technical paper along with their name, address, details of working / studying institution to: [email protected] before Feb. 15. Selected candidates or teams must present their papers on Feb. 19 at Vanivilasa Meeting Hall, Yadavagir.
