MCC issues notice to land developer for digging trench on road illegally

The trench was being dug to lay UGD pipes for private layout

Mysuru:  Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Zone-5 Commissioner has, on Wednesday, issued notice to a private land developer for not taking permission to dig the road to connect UGD pipes of a private layout.

A private layout is coming up adjacent to the road connecting Mathura Nagar. To the South side of this private layout, there is a road coming under MCC limits and this road was being dug using an earth-excavating machine by the private layout developer. The machine had dug up a trench about 50 mts length, when the public questioned about the purpose for which the trench was being dug.

As it was causing inconvenience for the movement of public and vehicles, social activist Nagendra had lodged a complaint with MCC and based on the complaint, MCC Zone-5 Commissioner has issued a notice to the private developer under KMC Act asking the land developer to reply to the notice with all relevant documents failing which legal action would be initiated.
