Mysuru: Stepping up the drive against unauthorised dumping of waste, garbage and debris in the city, the MCC officials on Sunday seized a goods vehicle that was found dumping flex and other advertisement materials waste on a road close to the waste disposal plant in Vidyaranyapuram.

The alert public who found a goods auto dumping waste materials, questioned the driver when he said that he was acting on the directions of the owner of a shop in Lashkar Mohalla.

Former Mayor B.L. Bhyrappa and BJP leader Jogi Manju who rushed to the spot, prevented the auto driver from dumping the waste.

Later the MCC officials who reached the spot seized the vehicle. Local leaders Somashekar, Sampath, Rajashekar, Pratap and others were present.
