MCC takes over 45 MUDA Layouts

Mysuru: Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) took over the charge of 45 layouts from Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) here on Friday.

MUDA Commissioner Dr. M. Mahesh handed over the documents of the layouts to MCC Commissioner G. Jagadeesha in the presence of PWD and District in-Charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa at the Government Guest House here. However, the pending development works of the layouts should be completed by MUDA.

Another 10 layouts will be handed over to the MCC soon. With the new layouts under its ambit, the MCC will get an additional Rs. 25 crore revenue, according to the authorities. As many as 15 layouts under the MCC Zone 2, 19 in Zone 3, one each under Zone 4 and 7, three under Zone 5 and six layouts under Zone 9, were handed over to the MCC.
