MCC tax collection via Property Index Number: A welcome move

May 14, 2020

Sir,

This refers to the news item “MCC collects tax through Property Index Number” in ‘SOM’ yesterday. It is a welcome move and a first stage of going online.

What is missing is the fact that if there are any discrepancy noted in the print out, like name, address, built up area and others, where should the owner go for corrections and when?

Is there a Form to be filled up seeking necessary corrections? Can MCC officials clarify this requirement?
