Town Sports FC, Bannur, registered a 4-1 win over K.R. Mill FC in their Group ‘A’ League tie in the MDFA ‘B’ Division Football League 2017-18 for the Govindaraju Memorial Trophy played at the University Grounds here on Monday.

Town Sports FC went into the lead in the 10th minute when left-out Kalai scored from near the target. The equaliser came from Charan in the 15th minute for K.R. Mill FC. At half-time both the teams were level 1-1.

In the second half, Town Sports FC, Bannur’s forwards continued to attack and in the 48th minute centre-forward Dinesh Singh found the target. Suraj (52nd) and Nidhin (72nd) scored a goal each to help their team score a 4-1 win and gain three points from this win.

The Result: Town Sports FC, Bannur 4 (Kalai 10, Dinesh Singh 48, Suraj 52, Nidhin 72) bt KR Mill FC 1 (Charan 15).
