MDFA ‘A’ Division League: Ashoka FC emerge champions

Ashoka FC with three wins from their three super-league games (9 points) clinched the coveted Sri Achutharao memorial trophy in the MDFA ‘A’ Division League 2016-17 here in Mysuru at the University Football Grounds.

In the final super-league game played on yesterday, Gandhinagar FC beat Chanakya Koota FC 5-0 and emerged as the runner-up in the league with 1 win, 1 draw and a loss in their three super-league games (4 points). Meanwhile, Royal FC and Soniya FC were relegated to ‘B’ division this year.

The Result: Gandhinagar FC 5 (Sharath 15, 25, Darshan 20, 22, Shekar 28) bt Chanakya Koota FC 0.
