MDJA holds free health check-up camp for scribes

Mysuru: Mysore District Journalists Association (MDJA) in association with Ayurveda Medical College had organised a free health check-up camp for journalists and their family members at  Pathrakartara Bhavan here yesterday.

Inaugurating the programme, MLA M.K. Somashekar said that Ayurveda has cure for many diseases and sought more awareness among people on the benefits of Ayurveda. He opined that more research was needed in Ayurveda. Over 100 journalists and their family members participated in the health check-up camp and free medicines were distributed to needy people.

Dr. Gurubasavaraj of Government Ayurveda Medical College, Srihari of GSS Foundation, MDJA General Secretary Lokesh Babu, City Vice-President Subramanya and others were present.
