MDJA to fete award-winning journalists on Nov. 8

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) has organised a programme at its premises on Thyagaraja Road in city on Nov. 8 at 11 am to felicitate journalists, who have recently received State and District Rajyotsava Awards, Hon.Doctorate degree and present Endowment Awards.

Yeshwanthpur MLA and former District Minister S.T. Somashekar will confer the awards. Former MUDA Chairman H.V. Rajeev and Resident Editor of Vijaya Karnataka, Mysuru, Ithichanda Ramesh Uthappa will be the chief guests. MDJA President S.T. Ravikumar will preside.

Star of Mysore and Mysuru Mithra Founder-Editor Dr. K.B. Ganapathy, who received Honorary Doctorate degree from University of Mysore recently,  will be honoured.

On the occasion, senior journalist Rajkumar Bhavasar will be presented Niranjan Nikam Endowment Award while senior Press Photographer M.N. Lakshminarayana Yadav of Star of Mysore, will receive Netraraju Endowment Award.

Also, State  Rajyotsava awardee and Newspaper Distributor Javarappa, District Rajyotsava awardees Nagesh Panathale (Vijaya Karnataka), Doddanahundi Rajanna (Vijayavani), S. Udayshankar (The New Indian Express), Suttur Nanjunda Nayaka (Senior Press Photographer) and Mahesh Kebbepura (Indian TV); Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar awardees K.B. Ramesh Nayaka (Andolana), K.P. Nagaraj (Public TV) and  Muguru Nanjundaswamy (Editor of Kannada Belaku Weekly) will be felicitated.
