The Mysore District Swimming Association (MDSA) will be conducting the State Sub-Junior and Junior Aquatic Championship – 2018 in Swimming and Water-Polo events from May 31 to June 3 at the University of Mysore’s Swimming Pool in Saraswathipuram here. The events will be held from 8 am to 8 pm on the above dates.

All the swimming events of 400m and above will be held on Time Trials basis and 50’s, 100’s and 200’s will be conducted as heats in the morning and finals in the evening session.

4×50 and 4x100m relay events will also be held as heats and finals in the evening session. 4x200m relay events will be held in the morning session as Time Trials.

The diving events will be held separately in Bengaluru and the date and timings will be announced by Karnataka Swimming Association in due course.

During the Meet, State Sub-Junior and Junior teams will be selected for the forthcoming 35th Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championship and 45th Junior National Aquatic Championship to be held at Pune in Maharashtra from June 24 to 29.

The State Championship will be held in the following age groups in Swimming and Water-Polo events for Boys and Girls in accordance with SFI rules — Group I: 15, 16, 17 years (born the years 2001, 2002, 2003); Group II: 13 & 14 years (born in the years 2004 & 2005); Group III: 11 & 12 years (born in the years 2006 & 2007); Group IV: 9 & 10 years ( born in the years 2008 & 2009).
