Medical College teaching faculty gets pay hike

Bengaluru: Amid the COVID-19 crisis, the State Government  on Monday hiked wages of teaching faculty in Medical Colleges and stipend for medical interns.

Medical Education Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar in a tweet on Monday said that the wages and stipend hike is in accordance with the recommendation of the Seventh Pay Commission. Pointing out that the hike in stipend is as much as 40 to 45 percent, he said that the longstanding demand of Medical interns has been met with the hike. He thanked Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa for giving nod for wage revision of medical faculty.
