‘Rajathaarka’ at Arka Dhama

Mysuru:Marking the Silver Jubilee celebrations ‘Rajathaarka’ of Arka Dhama, a function was organised at the Dhama premises on Bogadi-Gaddige Road near Kaniyanahundi Gate on Friday.

Inaugurating the programme, Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama Junior Pontiff Sri Datta Vijayananda Theertha Swamiji opined that there is a necessity of meditation for everybody to sink differences and promote harmony adding that without meditation, disharmony may set in at home itself.

He observed that patience and contentment were diminishing among the youth paving way for marital discord and resulting in divorce. He regretted that people were after power and money with no interest in yoga and meditation.

The Swamiji said that he felt the same experience as he felt on entering Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama way back in 1985, this day on entering Arka Dhama. He further said that the Dhama provides an excellent and soothing atmosphere for yoga and meditation. He added that Arka Ganapathy was being worshipped daily at Ganapathy Ashrama.

The Swamiji praised Sri Srinivas Arka Guruji for promoting yoga and meditation among people in India and abroad.

Former Vice-Chancellor of Mysore University N.S. Hegde released the ‘Arka Dhyana’ book. A video CD of photographs of activities at Arka Dhama 25 years ago was also released. Dr. A.S. Chandrashekar and Dr. Gurubasavaraj were felicitated on the occasion.

Arka Dhama Foundation Founder Sri Srinivasa Arka Guruji, State Ayurveda Research Centre Assistant Director Dr. Lakshminarayana Shenoy and other were present.
