Mysuru: City’s Janaspandana Trust has organised a Mega Job Mela on Sept. 5 (Saturday) at Chikkamanikethana Convention Hall in Kuvempunagar.

Addressing the mediapersons at Patrakarthara Bhavan in city yesterday, former MLA and Trust President  M.K. Somashekar said that the Trust was organising its 16th Job Mela after successfully holding 15 such Job Melas in the past 9 years.

District Minister Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah will be the chief guest and inaugurate the Job Mela on Sept. 5. The Mela will be held between 9 am and 5 pm.

The Trust had launched a job portal for interested youths to register for the Mela, he said.

Candidates having passed SSLC, PUC, ITI, Diploma with basic computer training, graduates and engineering graduates can take part in the Job Mela.

More than 60 companies including IT firms from Mysuru and Bengaluru will be recruiting candidates during the Mela.  

“The Trust has aimed placement to at least 8,000 candidates. We will not collect any registration fee. Candidates must bring their original certificates along with photocopies of the documents, resume and passport size photographs,” said Somashekar.
