Melodious rendition of old Kannada melodies

Mysore/Mysuru: Ninaad Musical Trust had organised a music programme ‘Madhura Madhuravee Manjula Gaana’ at Sarada Vilas Centenary Hall in Krishnamurthypuram here on Feb. 23

Singers Lokesh, Bhagya, Papanna, Shivaprasad and others rendered a number of old Kannada movie melodies, which received a great applause from the audience. Amulya and Deepika duo rendered ‘Madhu Maasa Chandrama,’ Tanishka and Vihan ‘Neene Rama Neene Shyama,’ Srivani and Narasimha ‘Mellusire Savigaana,’ Lokesh and Bhagya ‘Bhoomi Taayaane Nee Ishta Kane,’ Parashiva Murthy ‘Naavaaduva Nudiye,’ ‘Akashave Beelali Mele’ and other popular old Kananda melodies, creating a lively atmosphere.

Later, singers Papanna and Bhagya rendered ‘Eneno Aase,’ Priya and Shivaprasad ‘Chali Chali Talenu,’ Anuradha and Mutturaju ‘Eno Moha,’ Pratima and Mahesh ‘Onde Ondu Aseyu’ followed by other lilting melodies of old Kannada movies.
