Mid-day meal workers seek payment of wages

Mysore/Mysuru: Seeking payment of wages for the entire lockdown period, mid-day meal workers under the banner of All India United Trade Union Centre (AIUTUC)-affiliated Karnataka Rajya Samyukta Akshara Dasoha Karmikara Sangha staged a demonstration in front of the ZP office here on Thursday.

Raising slogans, the protesters urged the Government to fulfil their demands which chiefly included payment of wages till the schools re-open, payment of wages for the lockdown  months of March and April and distribution of ration kits, among others.

Sangha office-bearers Muddukrishna, Chandrashekar Meti, Raju, Basavaraju and others were present.
