Minister flags off Dasara Darshini tours

Mysuru: As part of Dasara festivities, Transport Minister H.M. Revanna flagged off ‘Darshini’ KSRTC buses at Kote Anjaneya Swamy Temple at the North Gate of the Palace this morning.

The KSRTC has provided 174 buses to the Dasara Darshana Sub-Committee which is conducting ‘Darshini,’ a one-day package tour under  Giri Darshini, Jala Darshini, Deva Darshini and Dasara Darshini.

In the first phase, the beneficiaries selected by Dasara Darshana Sub-Committee in 18 taluks of Mysuru, Mandya and Chamarajanagar districts will be taken in these buses from today to Sept. 24.

In the second stage, the beneficiaries from 11 taluks of Hassan and Kodagu districts will be taken around on Sept. 25 and Sept. 26.

The beneficiaries will be picked up from the respective taluk headquarters on these days.

The Sub-committee has paid Rs. 20 lakh to the KSRTC for providing buses, for which each beneficiary has to pay Rs. 50.
