Minister lauds ‘Treatotainment’ Covid Centre at Varakodu

Mysore/Mysuru: It has been ‘Treatotainment (treatment+entertainment)’ for Corona positive patients at Morarji Desai Residential School at Varakodu village in Varuna Assembly Constituency, which has been temporarily converted as  COVID Care Centre (CCC) for local population.

Inmates of this CCC do not feel boredom as there will be lots of entertainment daily, thanks to Taluk Administration led by Mysuru Taluk Tahsildar K.R. Rakshith and Nodal Officer Saiprakash. The duo have made the temporary stay of positive people more meaningful with doses of dance, music and other kinds of entertainment programmes. The patients are also allowed to do morning and evening walking and exercises to beat depression.

District in-Charge Minister S.T. Somashekar visited this CCC on Sunday to see the kind of treatment being given to patients.

He interacted with both male and female inmates separately and enquired about food and treatment they were getting at the CCC. They were also instilled confidence and assured them of safe return to their homes soon.

Later, talking to media, the Minister expressed his happiness over the arrangements for the COVID patients and complimented officials.

Along with treatment, there is lot of entertainment for the inmates. This has helped in the speedy recovery of patients. 

This CCC is managed by Dr. Rashmi, Dr. Manjunath and assisted by Manjula, S. Sumathi, Pavithra, Arunakshi, Sunanda and others. 

MP Pratap Simha, ZP CEO A.M. Yogesh and others were present during the Minister’s visit.
