Minister launches distribution of two-wheelers to beneficiaries

Mysore/Mysuru: Minister for Backward Classes Welfare and Muzrai, Kota Srinivas Poojari on Thursday launched distribution of two-wheelers to beneficiaries of D. Devaraj Urs Backward Classes Development Corporation through virtual mode from a Hospital in Udupi, where he is undergoing treatment  for COVID-19.

After the launch, D. Devaraj Urs Backward Classes Development Corporation Chairman Raghu Kautilya symbolically handed over the keys to some of the beneficiaries at a simple programme organised in front of Bengaluru’s D. Devaraj Urs Bhavan on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Raghu Kautilya said that the two-wheeler scheme has been launched in order to help the jobless youths from backward classes to find employment during this critical time of COVID-19 crisis.

Pointing out that two-wheelers  will help the youth in taking up parcel  and food delivery services, he appealed the beneficiaries to make best use of the scheme for their livelihood.

Asserting that the Corporation has evolved plans for introducing schemes that will help the people during COVID-19 crisis, he said that more than thousand youths  will benefit from the two-wheeler scheme. The youths must make best use of this opportunity for building their lives and livelihood, he added.

Corporation’s Managing Director K.N. Vijayaprakash, General Manager Kotrappa, officials               Nagaraju, Sujatha and others were present.
