Minorities Commission Chairman to visit city on Aug. 24

Chairman of Karnataka State Minorities Commission Abdul Azeem and Secretary Salma Firdous will visit the city on Aug. 24. The two, who will arrive at Jaladarshini Guest House at 10.30 am on Aug. 24, will hold a meeting with Minority community leaders on communal harmony at the ZP Hall from 11 am to 1 pm.

Later, they will visit Muslim Orphanage in the city and Morarji Desai Residential School at 1.05 pm. Thereafter, they will hold a progress review meeting regarding the Prime Minister’s new 15-point programme and other initiatives for minorities, at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office at 3.30 pm.

Subsequently, they will hold a meeting with the City Police Commissioner and other top Police officers, regarding communal harmony, at the DC’s Office at 4.30 pm, following which they will hold a press meet at 5.15 pm at the DC’s Office. The Commission Chairman will stay for the night at Jaladarshini Guest House here, according to a press release.
