Mysuru: The Government issued an order to reconstitute District Standing Committee to review the facilities provided to minority communities by various departments of the district.

The Committee will have Deputy Commissioner as Chairman. The members are ZP CEO, SP, City Police Commissioner, DDPI, District Employment Exchange Officer, District Industries Centre General Manager, Lead Bank Officers, District Social Welfare Officer, Project Officer of the DC Office, ZP Deputy Secretary, all MPs, MLAs and MLCs of district.

Minorities Welfare Department District  Officer will be the member-Secretary. Mohammed Rafi, S.M. Arokyadas and Suresh Kumar Jain of city will be the nominated members. Karnatakas State Minorities Commission Secretary will be the permanent invitee. ZP Deputy Secretary will collect the details of minority beneficiaries. The Committee will meet once in a month. The nominated-members will have a tenure of three years.
