Miscreant steals gold chains from children

Mysuru: A miscreant making away with two gold chains worn by children after luring them has been reported from V.V. Puram Police limits in city.

Lokesh, a resident of Mahadeshwara Layout in city, who had to attend a marriage function of his relative at Kempegowda Kalyana Mantap in Manjunathapura on June 19, got his children Jhanavi and Varsha ready for the function, gave them gold chains totally weighing 20 grams to wear and went to the marriage function.

The miscreant, who was present in the marriage function, saw the children wearing gold chains, lured them to a room where he removed the eight grams gold chain worn by Jhanavi and 12 grams gold chain worn by Varsha and fled from the place.

The children later informed their father about the incident who lodged a complaint at V.V. Puram Police Station. V.V. Puram Police have registered a case and are investigating.
