Mysuru:  A man was assaulted by two miscreants while he was sitting in front of a shop and fled the scene after snatching his mobile phone, cash and his bike on Mar. 24 night.

The incident took place on Harishchandra Road connecting M.G. Road in K.R. Police limits at about 11.30 pm.

The person, who was assaulted, has been identified as Manjesh, who after undergoing treatment has complained to the Police.   According to the complaint, Manjesh, after parking his bike on Harishchandra Road, was sitting in front of a shop and was looking at his mobile phone, when two persons came on a bike. The pillion rider who alighted from the bike hit Manjesh on the head with a stick resulting in him falling down. The miscreant, then snatched his (Manjesh) mobile phone worth about Rs. 11,000, Rs. 500 cash and rode away with his Hero Honda Splendor bike (KA-09-E-2087). Manjesh, in his complaint has also stated that the miscreants were about 25 years of age.  K.R. Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
