Miscreants attempt to rob motorist at N.R. Mohalla

Mysore/Mysuru: A group of miscreants have attempted to rob a motorist and have inflicted injuries on the victim’s head on Shivaji Road at N.R. Mohalla early this morning.

The injured is 26-year-old Puneeth, an employee of a private firm and a resident of N.R. Mohalla in city. According to victim Puneeth, he (Puneeth) was proceeding on Shivaji Road on his two-wheeler to reach his home in the early hours of this morning, when a group of miscreants stopped him and tried to snatch his gold chain but in vain. They later hit him on the head with a dagger causing injuries and fled from the spot, he added.

Puneeth, has lodged a complaint at N.R. Police Station and the Police, who have registered a case, have admitted Puneeth to K.R. Hospital. Meanwhile, N.R. Police, led by Inspector Shekar, who are investigating the case, are collecting the CCTV footages of cameras installed on the road and have launched a hunt to nab  the miscreants.
