Miscreants chop, take away sandalwood tree right in front of Police Station

November 12, 2020

Hunsur: Miscreants have allegedly chopped and have made away with a fully grown sandalwood tree right in front of the Police Station. The sandalwood was grown inside a park, near the General Hospital opposite the Police Station on S.J. Road in the town. The miscreants, after sawing the sandalwood tree, chopped it into pieces and have taken it away.

Following information from the public, the Police, who visited the spot, conducted an inspection and have registered a case.

This is the third sandalwood tree in the park that has been taken away by miscreants.

Last month, miscreants had felled a sandalwood tree grown in front of the house of one   Harish in Brahmins Layout and had taken away the trunk. The miscreants had latched the house from outside to prevent them from coming outside before  fleeing from the spot.
