Miscreants loot Rs. 1 lakh cash from businessman

Mysore/Mysuru: A gang of three miscreants, who waylaid a businessman at Seshadripuram College junction on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) on June 30 night, threatened the businessman with a knife and have made away with Rs. 1 lakh cash which the businessman was carrying.

The businessman, who lost his money, is 44-year-old Nanjunda of Nandini Associates (edible oil distributing agency) on Shivaji Road in N.R. Mohalla. He is a resident of Koorgalli. On June 30 night, Nanjunda, after closing the business for the day, was proceeding on his scooter (KA-09-E-8369) to Koorgalli from N.R. Mohalla and when he neared Seshadripuram College junction on ORR, three miscreants, who came on a bike, waylaid the scooter of Nanjunda, threatened him with a knife, assaulted him and snatched away the cash bag and sped away from the spot.

Hebbal Police are investigating.
