Miscreants make away with Rs.1.26 lakh from car showroom

Mysuru/Mysore: An incident of two miscreants cheating a car showroom of Rs. 1.26 lakh has come to light recently.

The incident took place at Mandovi Motors Pvt. Ltd. on Hunsur Road in city on Jan. 31.

The miscreants, who entered the car showroom, bought a Ganapathi idol to install it in the car and one of them asked the accountant Karthik that he wanted Rs. 2,000 currencies printed in 2018. Karthik, who agreed to the miscreant’s request, began to search for the currencies during which one of the  miscreants in the guise of helping him (Karthik) diverted his attention while the other miscreant pocketed 63 notesof Rs. 2,000 denomination. The miscreants later fled from the spot. 

A case has been registered at Vijayanagar Police Station, according to a press release.
