Miscreants snatch gold chain of shopkeeper

Mandya: Miscreants, who bought cigarettes at a shop, have managed to flee with the gold chain of the shopkeeper, who was busy closing the shop last night.

The incident took place at about 8.45 pm yesterday at Muthurayaswamy Layout at K.R. Pet here and the shopkeeper who lost her gold chain is Jagadambha, wife of Mahadevappa, a teacher.

It is learnt that, two miscreants who came to the shop, bought cigarettes and were smoking near the shop. As it was 8.45 pm, Jagadambha was busy closing the doors of the shop when the miscreants who made use of the opportunity, snatched her gold chain weighing about 35 grams and fled on their bike.

Nagamangala Dy.SP and K.R. Pet Police visited the spot. K.R. Pet Police have registered a case in this regard.
