Miscreants steal sandalwood tree on busy Mysuru-Bannur Road

December 29, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: Miscreants have chopped a fully grown sandalwood tree at the junction of Mysuru-Bannur Road and the road leading to Kurubarahalli Circle (Jockey Quarters Circle) on Sunday night and have taken away the trunk of the tree leaving behind the branches.

Though one or the other vehicle pass on this ever busy road as the Circle is just a few metres away from the KMF Milk Dairy and right opposite to DFRL Quarters, it is surprising how the incident did not come to the notice of anyone.

Nazarbad Police said that the Forest Department officials, who rushed to the spot on receiving information, have collected the branches of the tree left behind by the thieves. No case has been registered in this regard.
