Miscreants waylay trader, rob him of Rs. 5.5 lakh

Mysore/Mysuru: Miscreants, who waylaid a trader, have robbed him of Rs. 5.5 lakh in city. The incident took place on Lakshmi Vilas Road on Aug. 19 night.

The trader who was robbed, is 34-year-old Parasmal, a trader at Santhepet and a resident of Sonar Street in Chamaraja Mohalla.

On Aug. 19 at about 9.55 pm, Parasmal, who closed the business for the day, kept the collection of Rs. 5.5 lakh in a bag and was proceeding on his TVS Excel moped towards his home when four miscreants on two scooters waylaid him on Lakshmi Vilas Road, snatched his bag containing the cash and sped away.

A case has been registered at Devaraja Police Station.
