July 5, 2022

Mysore/Mysuru: Narasimharaja (NR) Police, after seeking permission from a Court, have registered cases against the Admins of two WhatsApp groups, charging them of posting misleading information on Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).

ACB Inspector Chittaranjan, who had lodged a complaint that Admins of two WhatsApp groups — VLGP and Mysuru DCRE — were posting misleading information about ACB which was sending false messages on ACB to the public and hampering their work, had sought legal action against those posting such messages in the groups and on the Admins of the groups.

Based on the complaint, NR Police, who sought permission from the Court, have registered cases against the Admins of the two WhatsApp groups under IPC section 504, 505 & 507 and are investigating.
