Missing Mysuru woman found dead in River Kapila

June 13, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: The body of Ganga (66), wife of retired Principal Parameshwarappa and a resident of J.P. Nagar, who was reported missing from June 7, was found in River Kapila.

She is said to have left her house after a petty quarrel. As searching for her in their relatives and friends’ house turned futile, Parameshwarappa had lodged a missing complaint at Vidyaranyapuram Police Station.

Police had then circulated the news of the missing woman across all the Police Stations in the State. Also, Parameshwarappa had placed advertisements in newspapers about his missing wife.

The couple’s daughter is in America and son is a software engineer working at a private company in Bengaluru, according to Police sources.

Even as the search was on, Ganga’s body was found yesterday in River Kapila near Nanjangud bridge.

Nanjangud Police have registered a case of unnatural death.
