Mission Indradhanush immunisation camps

Mysuru: District Department of Health and Family Welfare is organising special camps on Aug. 13, 14, 17 and 18 as part of Mission Indradhanush programme for 2018-19 which was launched by the Union Government on Dec. 25, 2014.

As per the Mission, pregnant women, children in the age group of zero to two years and five to six years will be identified and administered vaccine which will be held in three phases in the district from August to October.

The Department has done a survey in the district and has identified 5,585 children in the age group of zero to two years, 3,114 children in the age group of five to six years and 1,582 pregnant women.

The vaccine will be administered at 703 specially set up centres in the district, according to a press release from the District Health Officer (DHO).
