MITT Music and Arts Club inaugurated

Vinayak Honnavar, a noted flautist and nada yoga trainer, who was the guest speaker during the inauguration of ‘MITT Music and Arts Club’ at the MITT premises, being felicitated on the occasion.

Mysore/Mysuru: The newly-formed ‘MITT Music and Arts Club’ was inaugurated at Maharaja Institute of Technology, Thandavapura (MITT), Nanjangud, recently. Vinayak Honnavar, a noted flautist and nada yoga trainer, who was the guest speaker, enlightened the students on technological aspects of Indian music. He also demonstrated Ragas Hamsadhwani and Bairagi Bhairav on Indian bamboo flute.

The event began with invocation by students of 1st year BE course. Dr. B.K. Venkatesh, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Engineering Chemistry, MIT Thandavapura, who is also the Co-ordinator of Club, welcomed.

Dr. Y. T. Krishne Gowda, Principal of the institute, emphasised the importance of cultural activities in creating a balanced professional life.

Dr. H.K. Chetan, Joint Secretary of Maharaja Education Trust (MET), presided and spoke about the efforts put forward by the Institute towards promoting cultural activities among students.

Bhavana introduced the guest speaker. Keerthi Patel compered. Soumiya proposed a vote of thanks.
