Mysore/Mysuru: Chamaraja MLA L. Nagendra recently performed bhoomi puja for the underground drainage works along both sides of Hebbal Main Road and the road linking Metagalli Circle on KRS Road with Surya Bakery Circle in Hebbal.

The works costing Rs. 1.5 crore have been taken up by the MCC under Mahatma Gandhi City Development Plan.

Speaking on the occasion, Nagendra said that he has provided Rs. 9.5 crore for developmental works in Loknayaknagar.

Pointing out that Loknayaknagar has remained a Revenue Layout as the land-owners there had converted their farmlands into residential sites, he said that Hebbal Main Road is one of the busiest roads in the region and as such, more funds have been provided for taking up civic works along the road and surrounding areas.

Corporator Pailwan Srinivas, MCC Deputy Commissioner Mahesh, BJP leaders Kumargowda, Puneeth, Tanuja Mahesh, Shubha, Satyavathi, Sanjeevini Kumar, Ramegowda, Appajigowda, Marudasegowda, Krishnappa and others were present.
