Srirangapatna: MLA Ravindra Srikantaiah launched the modern X-ray facility at Srirangapatna General Hospital yesterday. The modern digital X-ray machine was procured at a cost of Rs. 10 lakh from the Government grant.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that the hospital getting the ‘Rajya Kayakalpa Award’ was because of the hard work and dedication towards the work by the doctors and staff besides stating that the doctors could now provide good service because of the new digital X-ray machine. He further said that as the hospital is located on the Highway, doctors can immediately take the X-ray of those injured in accidents and begin treatment soon.

Hospital’s Medical Officer Dr. Venkatesh said that the new X-ray machine could take X-rays of head, ribcage and bones of the body which will enable us to locate the problem and provide treatment immediately.
