Mysore/Mysuru: After visiting Covid War Room at the new District Offices Complex in Siddarthanagar and interacting with the staff, Krishnaraja MLA S.A.Ramdas has written a letter to Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri to address problems identified by him.
The MLA had visited the War Room recently and has written to the DC about his observation and things to be done to improve its functioning.
He said that the technical problem in Bhoomi software has been addressed but, details pertaining to location of Covid positive patients admitted to various Private Hospitals were not coming to the War Room. Once the beds are blocked in Private Hospitals through the War Room, the names of Hospitals are sent to patients for admission and to ambulance services for shifting the patients.
Information regarding reservation of 50 percent of beds for the Government sponsored patients, was not available. Since patients from other places were also getting treatment here, it has become difficult in finding out location of such patients.
In the absence of this, Surveillance Officers of other districts were coordinating with the local District Health Officer in finding out the whereabouts of patients.
Ramdas has stated that information about the allotment of beds to patients with complaints of breathlessness owing to lung infection was not available. Such patients have tested negative in RT-PCR testing but the CT scan has revealed lung infection. These cases are given as MYS cases. The DC must direct Private Hospitals to make it clear that they were offering free treatment for Government referred patients in their facilities, he added.
